CT Audubon Society – Disappearing Bees & the Threats to Bats (4-26-20)

Where have all the bees gone? What are the threats facing our bat population? What can I do to help?
If these questions ever passed your train of thought, join Teacher Naturalist, Jessica LaPolt and Wildlife Rehabilitator, Maureen Heidtmann at the Birdhouse Coffee shop, to learn more. Jessica will be discussing the threats to bees and ways you can help those populations. Maureen specializes in bat populations and she will be discussing the white-nose syndrome. Maureen will also be bringing a live brown bat to this presentation! You won’t want to miss this! Rain or shine. $15 per person and online registration is required.

Meet our Teacher Naturalist

Jessica LaPolt is a Teacher Naturalist with the CT Audubon Society. She has worked in providing environmental education to the public for four years and is passionate about the Audubon’s mission of spreading awareness about conservation and sustainability.
Jessica received her degree in Environmental Studies and completed the Master Wildlife Conservationist training providing through the CT DEEP.
She strives to provide excellent programs such as these for the enjoyment of the public and to push their interests towards that of the healthy future of our planet.
