CT Audubon Society – Planting for Pollinators (4-19-20)

Planting a garden can be a struggle all on its own; but what if you turned your garden into an oasis for hummingbirds, bats, monarchs and other pollinators?
At the Birdhouse Coffee shop, you can learn which plants are best for attracting pollinators by Teacher Naturalist, Jessica LaPolt, from the CT Audubon Society. Simple plant guides will be available as you also learn which plants are great for beginners and what types of pollinators you’ll be attracting. You will be going on a short hike during this program, so please wear appropriate attire. Rain or shine. $15 per person and online registration is required.

Meet our Teacher Naturalist

Jessica LaPolt is a Teacher Naturalist with the CT Audubon Society. She has worked in providing environmental education to the public for four years and is passionate about the Audubon’s mission of spreading awareness about conservation and sustainability.
Jessica received her degree in Environmental Studies and completed the Master Wildlife Conservationist training providing through the CT DEEP.
She strives to provide excellent programs such as these for the enjoyment of the public and to push their interests towards that of the healthy future of our planet.
