About the Shamrock School
The Shamrock School has been teaching Irish dance in the central Connecticut area since 1977 under Sheila Stevens. Sheila was later joined by her daughter, Shannon Barry, as co-owners of the Shamrock School. Our main studio is located in Plainville on East St. and we also teach out of the Simsbury Grange on Farms Village Rd in Simsbury. We teach traditional and contemporary Irish dancing for children ages 4 years old and up. Families may choose to be competitive in Irish dancing but that is a requirement of the Shamrock School. We will support you wherever Irish dance takes you!
